Hello,
Just to say that I will look to organising the on-going support group after the Saturday workshop.
Meantime, for those needing to refresh their memories re grammar terminology, I am finding a humourous (and smallish) book called Collins Improve Your Grammar very useful and readable. Enjoyable even! :-)
It's published, surprise, surprise, by Collins and costs only $18 - I ordered it at a PaperPlus store.
I think this book must have come into the hands of whoever designed our tutoring course because the second paragraph on page 152 reads:
"One final but growing problem with prepositions is that the lazier among us tend to drop them altogether:
Defenestration means throwing someone out the window should of course read out of the window. It is a habit to be discouraged."
:-)
Cheers! - Simone-Louise
